  In Nov 2011 I hired Rella Plumbing from ServiceMagic (now HomeAdvisor). I was satisfied with the work so in March 2013 I called Fedele Rella again for another project. He failed to show up for the appt we set up for the estimate. So he gave me an estimate over the phone ($450) for connecting a new bathroom sink and a new toilet. I thought that was expensive but based on the prior experience, I figured I'd go with it. When I ask how long it would take he said 3 hours. He showed up for the work and said it would be a $100 more because I wanted new valves. I thought that was ridiculous. I managed to bring him down to $500 total (instead of $550) and he proceeded. I paid him and he left. It only took him 2 hours so he was paid a handsome $250 per hour, more than double my previous plumber. Then my wife noticed that out of the 3 valves, he had only changed the rings on 2 of them (the one hidden behind the toilet was the old rusted ring), and he had not installed the toilet bolt covers because he failed to cut the bolts (too long). I called him 3 times (left a message each time) until he finally called back, to tell me he was too busy until the following week. The following week I called again, and again, and again. After 4 or 5 times of leaving messages, he picked up one day and offered to come at a time I could not make. I countered to another time and he said he'd call back to confirm. Of course he never did. I have called every day for another week or more and left messages each time. No return phone call whatsoever. Long story short, he is unreliable, untrustworthy, and extremely expensive. Do not use Fedele Rella.
