  Reid Park is somewhat smaller zoo, but it's a really well maintained zoo. Lots of stuff for kids to enjoy. The animals seem to be very well kept, and the feedings during the day are relatively frequent, so you can see them in their natural habitat, enjoying the local chow. The paths are well-manicured too. Zoo membership is relatively inexpensive, and they have reciprocal privileges with many zooz.

  A wonderful smaller zoo that has alot of soul. The reason is the animals living environments are amazing. They really look and feel like they were transplanted from places like Africa and placed right here. This is a zoo with no cages and or bars and to me that creates a uniquely different feel.

  We just got done here and it was so much fun, not too busy for a Monday which is why we chose to go today. All the animals were visible and fun to look at. We rode the carousel a couple times (bonus it has zoo animals I stead of horses) and bought some stuff in the gift shop which was surprisingly inexpensive. Overall great little 2 hour trip to the zoo!

  One thing I really like about Reid Park Zoo, aside from the animals, is the food. The animal exhibits are a lot of fun too! It's a pretty nice size zoo with a wide variety of animals, including baby red pandas that we never get to see! I liked Reid Park Zoo so much, I got a membership here, even though we probably didn't need to because we have membership at two other zoos that provide "reciprocal" type benefits when visiting certain other zoos. But we really liked it and thought it could be good to support the local zoo, even if some in our family take issue with animals in captivity. I really liked how visible the elephants are. I haven't tried it myself yet, but visitors can even feed the giraffes!

  Incredibly enjoyable. They have animals which I never have seen from such close proximity. Such as, a beautiful black jaguar, unique black bear and the remarkable Red Pandas. There are numerous animals every few steps and they are housed in comfortable natural habitation. We had a fun walk throughout the Zoo and had a delicious salad at their Cafe, which is highly recommended.
