We've been to this dog park a few times and it's always pretty empty, with a dark dismal feeling regardless of the weather. It's a great facility in what should be a nice location, but somehow it never feels right. Always a seedy crowd hanging around at the bus stop at the entrance. The dog park on Pine and Boren is WAY more inviting.

I use a wheelchair and was able to get in and out okay. People did assist with holding the gate. There is some gravel on the sidewalks inside the park, but I was able to drive through easily. My dog had fun, but she was scared of all the street and bus noise, since the 3rd & Bell bus stop is right there. There was a lot of people at the bus stop as well, including two people who nearly got into a fist fight while an onlooker yelled at them to stop. It was an interesting trip, to say the least. I'll still bring my dog there from time to time.

One of the best places for your dog(s) to roam free!

It's an escape from the city for dogs and owners alike. My dog loves going to this park, as he can play with all of the other dogs. The pet owners are also a trusted element, so you know your dog is safe with them as well. Dan's grocery store is right next door if you want snacks, and they allow dogs in their store too!

It's a good park if you're needing off-leash time I'm Belltown or downtown areas. However, this is not the best neighborhood. Expect some crowded sidewalks, hecklers, drug trafficking, and a fair amount of homeless people. I wouldn't call it dangerous, as everyone generally leaves each other alone or remains friendly. Other dog owners in the park like to chat, and the park itself is pretty clean and well maintained.
