  This is a nice location and within walking distance of the Gaslamp in downtown. The store is very clean and the employees always seem helpful. Prices are not the lowest but neither is the rent for this location.

  The location of this Ralph's is super convenient for me as I live downtown but I'll never go back. I've been going here for years and it's been a long slow decline. The moving walkway going down to the parking garage has been broken for months. They used to have it manned so people didn't try to push their shopping carts down anyway but they don't even do that anymore. You have to go to the literal opposite end of the store from the main parking garage entrance to use the elevator if you have a cart. The parking garage itself is SKETCH, especially in the far back corner where the elevator is located. Today I was entering from Second St and not only was there a man walking a bike up the entrance ramp where it specifically says "No pedestrians," there was also a security guard sitting there and taking a break! And he was staring down at his phone instead of even noticing that this man with bike was staring me down through my windshield for some reason. Zero effort on the management's part to keep this location safe and maintained. After today's experience driving in, I immediately U-turned in the parking garage (after waiting for the staredown to finish so I could get down the ramp) and headed straight to the nearest Trader Joe's. An extra 15 minutes of my time to drive somewhere safe, clean and friendly is worth it for me.

  I shop there a lot. Only had one clerk treat my husband badly talking to him like he's a nobody she didn't treat him like that when I go together. She is supposedly the clerk with pins of awards all over her blouse. She could be good and has been. That's why I was shocked. I love shopping there. Only store around the neighborhood.

  The store is excellent, but today I experienced the security guard walking around checking me out and then when I went up to the register he was standing by the register. I understand he's doing his job but I'm not one to steal. If I don't have any money I wouldn't go into a store. Pick and choose the people that you seriously watch cuz I'm not one of them. Very dissatisfied customer this morning.

  Best place to shop in the Downtown area in my opinion. Best prices and quality of food. Very good fried chicken. The deli has better choices of food and quality. The people that work there are friendly and happy to serve you. The deli is kept clean at Ralphs, the food is displayed in decorative bowls. At Albertsons the food is displayed like a school cafeteria and the food is thrown into the other.
