  Site of the first official raising of an American flag -On January 1, 1776, the Grand Union flag flew.

  Nice local park with tower that commemorates the first American flag that George Washington ordered flown on January first 1776. Good views of Boston, Cambridge and Somerville from the base of the tower and incredible views when the tower is open and you can go up the spiral staircase to the top.

  Prospect Hill Park is pretty nice for a small park. Some of it isn't maintained very well, but the parts that are maintained are nice. During the day people walk their dogs and kids come out and play. There's a playground right nearby. At night it's poorly lit and kids go up to smoke by the castle. The walkways through could use some maintenance but it's the fastest way down to Union Square so I walk through it every day.

  Awesome park. Cool playground. Park always has something going on. I saw a wedding here once. The tower is neat. A east place to hang out.
