::As much as I hate to say it, this gym gave me one of the worst experiences in my entire life. It disappoints me to say so since Manny (the head coach) is a cool guy whom i got along with very well. As my experience goes, I kindly asked an individual if he would be willing to spar with me. He kindly said yes, while also saying he would stop me if anything was wrong. I thought everything was alright during our spar, as he never stopped me at any point, but afterwards he just started going off on me. shouting, mocking me, cursing; generally toxic and irrational behavior. I tried to be mature and apologized, but he said he wasn't having it. To be 17 and have these two adults relentlessly insulting you, all the while you're trying to be reasonable and resolve the problem - it just baffles me how two middle aged men would act so immature as to be so toxic to some kid who thought he wasn't doing anything wrong. I never had a problem with anyone from this gym nor anyone at all in all my years of doing martial arts. So, it's surprising to hear from Manny, after describing to him what happened, to basically say 'This is the kind of thing that happens, it's unfortunate, have a nice day'. I truly wish I had something good to say about this gym, but $100 a month of my own money only gave me the shittiest experience i have ever gotten in a gym. I just hope that if you decide to go here that you wont have to deal with something similar.

::One of the best experiences of my life. Its a small to medium size gym. I started in 2010. I didn't know anything about boxing. I signed up to lose weight. In the beginning, I was the only "bigger" person from the other members. I wasn't coordinated at all. Manny, Head Coach, Owner and military Vet, would give me work outs to do when I was not at his gym, to help in my weight loss. As the weeks went on, the other members who joined would help me as well. I was given food tips, other work out tips, and they would work out with me after class. On occasions a group of us would go out to lunch after class and we would discuss the menu and calories and what I should be avoiding. I felt like I had another family. This is the only gym where I was comfortable being over weight and working out. Everyone cheered me along as I began to lose the weight, that made me want to keep losing. As time went on, I signed up for private lessons to help me become a better boxer and I lost almost 100 lbs. The weight loss would not have happened if I didn't find Progressive Boxing. As time went on, I was becoming a better boxer and I wanted to spar. You are not allowed to spar with out Manny's permission. I would ask Manny, am I ready to spar? and he would tell me NO! I worked even harder in each class, I wanted to spar, take my boxing skills or what I thought I had, to the next level. Manny will make sure you are ready for that level, you just don't walk in, join the gym and start sparring. The coaches make sure you are ready. You are fully geared, the pace is slow for beginners. Please don't be intimidated by a gym with sparring classes. Its elective, you do not have to spar. Sparring, brought my new love of boxing to the next level. When Manny told me I was ready, I worked with Manny and with male and female gym members. You work together as a team, your going slow, your figuring out each others movements, The coaches are there to watch and help along the way. I have never had a single bad experience at this gym and I have made lifelong friends here. This gym is the best thing that happened to me.

::I have been a member since the gym first opened in 2010. This has been the best workout both physically and mentally. For a boxing gym it has a welcoming atmosphere, you want to go. I feel the biggest reason is Coach Manny, his staff and its members. You feel part of a Family than just a member at a gym. It is very motivational, everyone pushes each other to active there goals and go after new ones. I love the fact that when it's time to workout...You Workout, get the job done. No socializing. If you looking for a great gym all around definitely go to Progressive. You will not be disappointed. Michael T. Taroneee

::Love it here ! As a person who gets anxiety when working out in a public place, this is one of the most friendly atmospheres I could ever hope for. I was totally new to boxing and all of the people there were so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. On top of that, you get an amazing calorie torching workout. I wear a heart rate monitor and I usually burn between 450 and 800 calories per class. The coaches are great and very attentive to proper form which is super important ! I tell everyone about it. Highly recommend.

::I wanted to learn how to box 8+years ago, I called around to many different boxing gyms, Manny was the only one who told me it was all about form and technique. I never stop learning, and the workouts never stop getting challenging. I did a sparing clinic yesterday, and have periodically done them. Manny teaches real skills for sparing in a very safe environment. It was a great workout and super fun can’t wait to do it again!! I am totally addicted to the workouts and sport! This place rocks!!! All ages and all skill levels!🥊🥊
