Princesa Bakery is a fantastic and authentic Portuguese bakery, found on the side streets of the Ironbound District. They offer daily lunch specials as well as much-needed espresso (cafe) and homemade pastries and cakes. They carry a wide variety of sweets such as croissants, the elusive pastel de nata, bola de berlim, queque, pata de veado, jesuita, and more! Princesa is an excellent choice if you are looking for an alternative, more locally-owned, family feel than the industrial, over-looming Teixiera's of Newark.
