  oh man. i can't say enough good things about Praxis and the people who run it. All of their clothes are handmade in the shop, and they sell products made by local artisans, including accessories and body care products. It's a wonderland! Also, if you need a custom anything made, ANYTHING, this is where you need to go. Mary at Praxis made my wedding dress. It was a dream. Everything I could have asked for, including (!!) secret pockets. How cool is that?

  I love Praxis! They can do anything. They mend clothes, make personal costumes, provide sewing lessons, have the cutest handmade dresses/clothes, make blankets for the homeless, provide a space for locally made jewelry and fashion goods, they order/make natural body care products, they're always playing great music and they love talking about social change and community empowerment.
