::Excellent service and delicious food. We happened to be there on a Tuesday night, which is their "Date Night" special. Each couple gets 2 salads, 2 entrees, and 1 bottle of wine for about $50. Choose from a limited menu of 2 salads, 6 entrees, and a 4 bottles of wine. Most of our group took advantage of the special, but the rest of the menu looked amazing, too. None of us had anything left on our plates! I suggest putting your name in ahead of time, and enjoy walking around Balboa Park while you wait; they were able to seat us ~15 minutes early.

::I absolutely love Prado, very upscale, the food is excellent. If I may suggest, try the Kobe beef roll it is different but delicious. When visiting I make it a point to go to Prado just to get it, well and the food. However it is excellent, I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

::Just okay. The atmosphere is great, but the food is just good, not great. Your water stays full no matter how much you drink. Getting a beer can be a challenge. The wine served with the date night deal was okay, and I was happy to be able to sniff the screwtop before accepting the bottle. The public bathrooms we're clean enough for the guy next to me to drink from

::We made reservations for a group of 15 older gay men (our outdoors activities club) for 12:15 on a Friday. We were seated promptly. Our orders were taken at 12:45. Our lunches did not arrive until 2:20 p.m. We had to complain to the manager to get anything at all. It ruined our long-planned excursion to Balboa Park. The food was mediocre, at best. Draw you own conclusions.

::I agree with all the five star raters that this place is excellent. We dined here in late December, and the decor was appropriately festive, but not over the top schmaltzy. Service - amazing and professional. They know what they're doing. I took the advice of our server and had a 'Cuban Old Fashioned' made from oak aged rum. I was a little hesitant at first, because I'm not a fan of rum or overly sweet drinks. Long story short, our server knew what he was talking about and my drink was delicious. The rest of our meal didn't disappoint either, and included the Korean spiced calamari fries, crab cake, and bone-in rib eye. Great stuff!
