This place us immense and spans so many different art mediums, from Native American to impresssionism and so many others in between. Thus place is amazing! My girlfriend and I came on the free night of the month and had such a pleasant experience. I loved every exhibit we went through. We'll be coming back again soon!

We visited and saw the Laika exhibit which was just amazing! First Thursday of the month is free and first Friday is $5 which is a great way to see the museum! It can be a little crowded at those times though. The exhibits are really interesting and worth going a couple times to see everything.

The Portland Art Museum is such a gorgeous place. Every time I go there, I see something new and exciting that I hadn't noticed before. There's so much diversity there, both in the art and the ambience. I find it to be a good place to sit, think, and enjoy beautiful works of art.

Laika was there to show off their projects & it was such a superb showing. I was fascinated by absolutely everything. The detail on the small sets & knowing just how hard people work on these projects makes this such a worthwhile thing to say. I HIGHLY recommend going!

The parking lot or structure nearby is down hill, next door and not managed by the PAM. Just pay the day fee. It's always better than cutting your visit short to rush back to your vehicle The ADA compliant entrance is to the right of the front steps, further right of the courtyard. It's kinda hidden behind a wall. Be advised that the museum is up hill from that lot and every other parking lot or parking bldg nearby. It's best to get an all day pass, and get there earlier rather than later. Even better; have a driver drop you off (If possible) in front of the building.
