  This could be my favourite airport. Maybe it's just because every time I get there I'm in Arizona, but I like the easy access to public transit and the shuttle train that goes between terminals. Getting through security has always been efficient and hassel free.

  I've flown out of Sky Harbor now a few times and never had bad service from their staff or American Airlines staff. Rental shuttle even at 8:30am was quick and even helped people with their bags. I have precheck, but I've never seen a huge line even for standard security. Staff upstairs is courteous and kind. Its easy to figure out and quick to get in and/or out of.

  Short-staffed!! Short-staffed!! Short-staffed!! Especially after 9 pm, it shows everywhere, parking car-rentals, rental bus overcrowding, air terminal at check-in , bag drop and security check. Either they need more staff or stop red-eye and late arrival flights. Additionally, to go to-from Rental car terminal to Terminals 1-4 takes 30-35 minutes (waiting for bus, waiting for bus to fill and 15-20 min ride. For someone doing it frequently it's a nightmare. They need better transportation to car rentals.

  This is a very nice airport with the ability to deliver and pick up your family or guests inside terminal 4. My big complaint is the new terminal 3 still under Reno. Check in security and bag pickup although close to covered parking is miles from the gates. There are no moving sidewalks which are sorely needed, the walk to & from gates is forever and zigzags in and around more corners than you could ever imagine, with very few signs to tell you where you are going. If this is the final product their Reno design for terminal 3 is a disaster.

  Very well run airport but not very clean. But then, this is a really big airport. They are very efficient especially for being so large. Security is great and one feels very safe there. One thing I couldn't find was a skycap and I really needed one. Traffic surrounding it is tremendously packed. They have these sort of service dogs that you can pet while you wait at the carousel for your bags. That's a nice touch.
