  From the Parking area on Mine Road this is a great short 2 mile hike that can be done as a loop. When leaving the parking area hike up the steep section and stay to the left. This will lead you to a more challenging section that has a rock scramble to the top. This route provides some of the best views when getting to the summit. Once on top there is a monument to the fallen Hero's. Please be respectful when at the monument. After taking in some of the best views proceed on and take the rock stairs down. There is one section on the way back that i a rock slab and there is a thick heavy rope to help those that are a little skidish down.This slab can be slippery after a rain and in winter can be icy but is the best route to take when leaving the summit.
