  Not much going on here during the week other than being a MetroRail stop. The Austin city council recently approved a large mixed use development project for the site. The surrounding neighborhood is undergoing a radical transformation from mostly single family, working class homes, to monotonous low rise, high density housing projects. The Plaza Saltillo project is billed as transit-oriented development. If it looks good and functions as advertised it will make this place a destination.
