I will begin by saying that if I could give this place a minus star rating I would and please bear with the long story. Buying from Pitusa has been the MOST terrible furniture buying experience of my entire life. I decided to go here because I figured the prices would be reasonable. From the onset I felt strange being greeted by ā€œJuanā€, the greasy haired salesman. He was talking fast and loud and I could already tell he wasnā€™t trustworthy. Going against my gut instinct and the fact I was in a jam I decided to purchase bunk beds for my daughters, a bed for my son, a mattress for me and my wife, and sofas as well because we were moving into our first home together. I waited almost a month for the delivery to arrive because apparently their driver hurt his back. That was the first clue about how horrible this would end up. Second, they never called the day of the actual ā€œscheduledā€ delivery. I called ā€œJuanā€ to find out what was wrong and not only did he tell me he couldnā€™t deliver because his driver quit, he contracted some random guy to deliver the furniture during a snow storm. Juan then proceeded to ask me to to pay extra for the delivery when I had already paid a delivery charge. He heckled me, and tried to force me to pay an extra delivery fee and became angry when I declined. Several hours later, during a snow storm a pick up truck pulls up to my house at 10pm. All 5 mattresses, a bunk bed, a dresser, a sofa, and a recliner were all tied together with ratchet straps. The stuff was packed so tight it looked like the mattresses on top were gonna burst. I wish I could post pictures and video that I took on here but I canā€™t. Everything was soaked! They didnā€™t even bother putting a tarp over the furniture but who the hell delivers furniture in a pickup truck?! No less during snow! Exactly. Unprofessional and no integrity. I told the driver to take everything back and even though I felt bad for the driver, the merchandise was damaged. Now hereā€™s where it gets good. Good old Juan tells the driver to dump all of the furniture on my lawn and he will warranty it. I was livid. My wife flipped out and began yelling because this guy was trying to force us to take these soaking wet mattresses and faulty items. We had to threaten to call the police because the driver would not leave. Eventually the driver left and I was left with an empty apartment with no furniture. Did I forget to mention I was throwing my daughters 9th birthday party the very next day. This may seem like an unreal story but I promise it is 100% authentic. I attempted to get my money back because I didnā€™t want to deal with these type of people and they had ruined my daughters birthday. We literally all slept on the floor on comforters for three days. They refused to give me my money back but promised to deliver the furniture fully intact and ā€œdryā€ three days later. They delivered it on a normal delivery truck and set everything up. Fine I bit the bullet and took the merchandise. Weeks later I was moving the furniture around and noticed the recliner had two holes in the back that were hard to see. Keep in mind I had not moved any of the furniture or even sat in the damn recliner. I work extremely long hours so I go home and go straight to bed. Well here goes another scumbag move from Pitusa. The back of the recliner had two small holes that were colored over with a large black magic marker! I called ā€œJuanā€ again and asked for an explanation and of course he said why did I wait weeks and that thereā€™s nothing he can do. I will be taking them to small claims court. I wrote this long story for a reason. Itā€™s about the principle here. And I pray that no one ever goes here or has a nightmare experience like the one I just shared. This furniture store should not be in business.
