  It's $2 to start and they take plastic if you don't have quarters. Unless you know what you're doing, it doesn't seem worth the effort or money. With two people washing my small hatchback and not even taking the time to wax and dry, it ended up costing $6. That's about the same as driving through one of those machines at a gas station (and those are more magical and less messy for you).
