::A wonderful, quaint shop with the best staff I’ve come across. Across the street from the beautiful San Jose state university campus. Definitely stop by here for your morning cup of happiness! Pet-friendly too!

::If you are a coffee drinker and you havent ever stepped in a Philz coffee give them a try. They pour a mean cup and they use heavy whipping cream which makes all the difference. I recommend the Silken Splendor if you enjoy a medium roast, or the Julie's Ultimate if you like a dark roast. If you really enjoy the taste of the coffee remember to tell them to go light on the creamer so the taste of the roast will stand out more.

::Philz is always great (especially on a rainy morning)! They make your coffee to order and you can choose the sweetness as well as creaminess so it's suited to your taste. There's light, medium, and dark roast options as well as some specialties (mocha and the iced mint mojito!) So you have plenty of options. They also have baked goods which taste so fresh and yummy (much better quality than Starbucks food).

::This is such a unique and cool concept. They have many kinds of coffees. I think they're almost all blends, which I usually say away from. But Philz makes really delicious blends. And the baristas know a ton about the coffee. There's always a wait, and they have pretty limited seating in the shop. But, it's definitely worth the wait.

::Super crowded as you can imagine with a line out the door but worth it. Super long line and I went around 10. Mixture of college students and professionals in the area. I don't even drink coffee but I wanted to see what all the hype was a bout. It has a super cool lounge area inside with comfy couches that are well worn in and different chairs you can use to study or work. When you get up to the counter they make your drink for you and allow you to try it. The reason this place is amazing is because you are one on one with your barista and they sit there and make your drink for you making adjustments until they get it right even if you don't know what you want like me! Talk about customer service! I also go the Mediterranean Avocado toast which has hard boiled eggs on it which was something new to me. The bread was so soft and not super crunchy where it hurts your mouth. Definitely worth the wait!
