  Very shady business practices. Came here the other day to look for a particular breed of guinea pig. They did not have in stock but said that they could easily get one from their breeder and would deliver within a week. When I went back a week later, they were unable to provide what I ordered and also said that there was no guarantee that they could do so in the future. I asked for a return of my deposit. They refused because 'it is non-refundable'. They said there is never a guarantee that they can get a particular type of animal. When I pointed out that none of that information was made available before I paid the deposit and that, quite to the contrary, I was assured that my order was guaranteed, the manager said that her employee gave out wrong information but that this wasn't Petland's fault and nothing to do with Petland. Reported to the Federal Trade Commission for fraudulent business practices and to the Better Business Bureau.

  Been coming back to the store since around december of last year to speak to Fernando about reptile advice/questions .. Even though the kid is young hes EXTREMELY knowledgable and its one of the reasons i only look for him when i come in. After today i felt like this was long over due.. I've never seen an seen an associate stay as calm as he has today dealing with a rude and complete obnoxious customer. Gave him the worst time and you can read it off his face that he wasn't in the best mood.. to please the customer so she can leave happily he gave her the $5 out of HIS own pocket she was so desperate over to use with her coupon on a purchase that was made HOURS ago and was basically harassing him to give her the $5 from the register since the store doesnt issue "Store credit".. made him call his managment 2-3 times to deal with her. Im still in shock after dealing with her and when i came up his entire facial expression changed and made it seem like nothing ever happened.

  Such. Bad. Customer. Service. I've never been treated so rudely and waved off like at Petland here! They do not care what condition their animals are in. I got a fitch there, and when I got home, put it in its cage, I noticed that most of its feathers were plucked out by its neck and that it was easily aggravated (probably because of the fact all the birds fight in there). I went back the next day to get an exchange, and all the birds were like that. Not only that, but one of them were bleeding! We asked for an exchange as soon as we walked in the door, the woman gave us a nasty look and asked why. Why? Because we want one! I never knew that we had to give an explanation on why we wanted an exchange. I told her that it looked unhealthy (originally I thought it lost all its feather because it was sick) because it had lost its feather by the back of its neck. She said, "They'll grow back, but okay." I swear, these people are so rude and do NOT care about their animals. Not only that, but when we were discussing how ugly the birds conditions were, the OTHER manager (a guy) said, "Well why did you take it like that?" BECAUSE YOU GAVE IT TO US IN A CLOSED BOX! These people love to give you sick/poor quality animals, and they will do nothing, absolutely nothing! The woman manager says, "we put millet in there so they don't peck at each other, but they still do." Excuse me? First of all, NONE of the birds had millet in their cages. Secondly, I've had zebra finches before and they've never pecked at each other, regardless of millet spray in their cages. If you want customer service that is good and respectable, go ANYWHERE but here. I'm absolutely disgusted about how bad it's gotten over the years, and I won't be surprised when the managers get fired soon. Or at the very least the store will close down thanks to their poor customer service. DO NOT GO HERE.

  I love the staff the works there. I love to go there to get fish, I would recommend this store to people who are just starting or wanting to own a bird, hamster, fish they do not sell cats or dogs with is good and only on adoption day the have cats and dogs. They have amazing fish tanks supplies cleaning stuff for the tanks so basically a whole wall for just fish and the needs of fish I think they also have a whole wall of bird things and rodent things. I highly recommend going there. I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did.
