  I have been interested in the martial arts, and the sword in particular, since I was very young. When my son's both expressed an interest in learning, I was fortunate to be able to find Perception Sword Academy. Through the classes, I have been able to both watch my children become more confident and enjoy themselves, along with having something that allows us to bond further as a family. The art itself has allowed me to de-stress and to feel healthier through the exercises that the classes require. The fact that we are learning a sword art, something that I dreamed about learning as a child, is just icing on the cake.

  My daughter started classes at Perception Sword Academy six weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. Her interest in Siljun Dobup began with her fascination of Asian culture. It is wonderful that we’ve found a master instructor to teach her the art of sword fighting. My 11 year old enjoys each class and I find that the training is systematic and routined. This is the best way for her to learn because the teaching combines a multisensory style that works wonders for her ADHD-I and Social Communication Disorder. My daughter has stated that she loves her classes because she is learning how to control her emotions, she finds the training very peaceful and loves that she can protect herself.
