::Came down from Lincoln, NE back in November to visit a friend of mine in Dallas, made it one of our goals to make it here to eat. I will always speak veey highly of This place. I waited for an hour and a half just to get in the door!! Upon the realization of entering there was an express line!! It was wayyy worth it!! The food the ambiance the people the beer. Was all amazing!! I will come back everytime I'm down that's for sure!! Go Huskers!! See y'all next time!!

::Pass on this one unless your time is not important... waited for 1 hr. 15 min.. for 3 meats 1 side for $16 on 1/18/14. All had light dry rub. Mid range smoke, with Fatty soft Brisket. decent sausage, and 1 country rib. sweet tasting greens and OK mac/cheese. I enjoyed the cheese bread and no more butter cakes better. Tollies BBQ out of Arlington/ Ft worth was way better, they smoke theirs for over 10 hrs.

::Easily the best BBQ in Texas, if not the entire world, and anyone who disagrees seriously needs to reevaluate their palate. So delicious. Though the line length is unfortunate, anyone who is willing to complain about it doesn't deserve to be graced with the wondrous culinary creations of Pecan Lodge. This place is seriously THE hidden gem of Dallas. I beg you, for your own sake, do not deny yourself a trip to this place. Do not read any more ignorant comments, treat yourself to the experience of Pecan Lodge - you are worth it.

::My wife and I have had Franklin's BBQ in Austin so, based on the recent rating of 2nd best BBQ in Texas, we had to try this place. I cannot imagine how they achieved that rating. We got 1/2 pound of brisket, ribs, and pulled pork and added a side of mac and cheese. Here is what we got. The brisket was under cooked, still had very large globules of undissolved gelatinous fat. It did have a good smoke flavor. The ribs would have been better if they were cooked more. The ends were almost rubbery. Same good smoke flavor as the brisket. The pulled pork was a disgrace and inedible. It was neither moist nor pulled. It had been cooked to death and was so dry that it was unpleasant to have to chew that much to swallow. After one bite we could not take any more of it. Did I mention it had exactly the same smoke flavor as the brisket and ribs? The mac and cheese which everyone has raved about was an insult to Velveeta. Yes the large bacon chunks were a nice addition but I have had much better flavor from simple diners. To sum it up we went there hoping to find something that was good enough to save us the 200 mile drive to Franklin's. We did not find it at Pecan Lodge and we will not be returning. Perhaps they made great BBQ before they were noticed. It appears all the business has taken them off their game.

::Kick *ss BBQ. Best I've ever had. Not expensive for the quality. The line starts an hour before it opens. Lots of folks ordering a lot of food. It's in the farmer's market. Worth the wait.
