::If you can avoid going here, PLEASE do so. The waiting time is unnacurate and the environment extremely unprofessional. I came on a Saturday, granted it would be busy. The time estimate as displayed on the screen was 2 hours. I checked in at 2:30 received my buzzer and did not buzz until about 5:45 PM. That was just over 3 hours of waiting. It was not until I was seen was I made aware that I needed a money order. Luckily, the manager Marcy, was nice enough to allow me to go try to get a money order but unfortunately the suggested place she reccomended to go to was closed. I called to let her know since she was waiting for me and the phone was answered rudely with a “hello?!”...is this a passport agency at the Brooklyn Public Library or your personal cell phone? I explained the situation to whoever answered and let Marcy know they would be closed, she was very polite and explained that I would come back in the morning and she would let whoever was there know that I was already seen, she had already handled my paperwork and I was only to submit a money order. Now throughout this whole experience Marcy was the most pleasant, so this review in no way has to involve her. I arrived back at the agency Sunday morning at 10 AM. I explained my situation to the young man at the front, didn’t get his name but he has dreadlocks and a beard, and he laughed and explained I would still have to wait. Cool. The wait time only stated 45 mins. It is now 12:20 PM and I am still sitting here waiting. A passport representative saw someone who came in AFTER me, before me. I asked the young man with the dreads why, he exclaimed he didn’t know and basically something along the lines of that was none of his business but the “supervisors.” Just keep in mind he knows all I have to submit was a money order. Now I am only giving you all this detailed review so you can understand my frustration coming here. It should never be such a struggle to get something simple done. A wait is expected, but the unprofessionaliam is through the roof. So as I stated, avoid here at all costs, make an appointment at your local post office or passport agency and save yourself the wait times, unprofessionalism, and lack of concern.

::visited this location twice. First time, there was a family of 9 applying for passports at the same time but the workers was nice enough to have one of the workers assist me instead of all of the workers deal with that one family. The second time, I came on a Saturday afternoon for my daughter and I was out in 15 mins. I received her passport exactly 2 two weeks via priority mall. The birth certificate came a week late. I always recommend this location, FYI they give you a buzzer so you can peruse the library while you wait. It will beep as long as you are in the library.

::You CAN NOT renewal your passport in person. It's not noted anywhere on their website. So don't waste your time in coming here unless you're getting a new passport. They need to note that somewhere on their site that you can't renewal in person at this office.

::Just went there (at 11 am). Waiting time was about 2 minutes, and the representative, Peter, was beyond being nice. I don't remember the last time I got such a care from a representative. He was very kind, helpful and easy going. Thank you so much!
