::A nice park for a stroll, playing with your dog, or having a picnic, but needs improvement. There are parts of the park that are undeveloped or have been left to decay. The sundial up the stairs is broken and has been completely covered with overgrowth, and the gazebo is always covered in bird excrement due to the barn swallows that nest there. Garbage receptacles are overflowing on some days. The edge of the pond is sloped and unsafe for young children. Garbage and debris is often floating at the edges of the pond as well. Definitely needs more care. EDIT MAY 23 2017: Poison Ivy has taken over the edge of the pond. No action has been taken. Please be careful with kids.

::Tilley Pond Park is a piece of essential Americana. It is quaint, communal, and a timeless Connecticut landmark. If you do choose to visit the cabin, be careful to watch for birds. If instead you want to fish, beware of the turtles and mind the branches overhead. Whether it spring, summer, fall, or winter, Tilley Pond remains a relatively-undiscovered destination, though I doubt it will be for long.
