::In numerous ways the park have favorable aspects. It is often quiet here with paths to explore. There are concerns with considerable dead foliage, decaying wood, and debris. On a very dry and hot season day these elements might contribute to fires. Although there is much moisture and small marshes, bodies of water, streams, the warning may merit attention, some clearing. Another developing alert are the threats to trees. As in many other areas of Long Island, certain parasites are attacking in sickening and deadening trees. It could be an overwhelming problem with little resolve in accord with budget. However, are there affordable measures that could be taken to reduce the problem? Update (late May, 2018): The main pathway leading to the shoreline permitting a view of the Robert Moses Bridge is remarkable clear of dog feces. In fact, there were NONE, a first time for me observing. Visitors with their pets are taking the mandated request to clean up after their dogs more seriously. Also, there are deposite signs where persons can donate recyclable shopping bags. If that was not all. I witnessed two young women walking their cared for canine. When he had to do number two, they guide him to the grassy side off the path. After he was finished, one of the ladies picked up the feces with a plastic bag and deposited in the trash. Their impressive duty help merited an upgraded rating.

::This is the place to enjoy an afternoon of relaxation. Awesome paths to follow and enjoy some sights and sounds of Long Islands natural habitat. Great view of the Great South Bay. If you have any canine friends, bring them cause they will have a blast.

::This is a great park if you have a dog or dogs. Walk to the water, lots of dogs everywhere. Had a brisk walk as it was cold but the park offers nature and woods and a small beach. Great for fresh air and hiking outside.
