  Absolutely love this park. You can do anything you can possibly pick up here from playing kickball and baseball to riding bike and rollerblading they even have a workout area. The play area is wonderful especially in summer time when they have the sprinklers on. They have numerous basketball courts for the kids to play on handball you could even rent and bicycles and what not. It's even a nice place to throw a birthday party as they have a public restroom for those who need to use the bathroom.

  Such a great park! I remember when I was just a kid, going there weekly. It's still clean and beautiful. I can't speak on behalf of children, but I liked the playground aspect of it better back ten+ years ago. Maybe as an adult my taste is different. I still love the whole park itself, though. Very peaceful to take walks in, or even ride a bike. During the summer I believe you can even rent a personal bike or family bike. Perfect for parents who want to have their kids sit on the bike and give them a ride.

  Love the wild part of the part. South of Avenue U. It's a pleasant walk, any season, any time of day and in pretty much any weather. It takes you out of Brooklyn. A great place if you want to rent a jog, rent a kayak or bird watch. The facility there hosts many different community programs for kids and adults. From environmental sustainability classes to introductory sessions of marine biology, bird migration and lots of information of why salt marshes are important. North part of the park is a lot more "civilized" offers a great playground for kids of all ages, activity, with spray jets in the summer. The park facility that was built is super modern, earth roof, solar panels, natural light filled (and cost the tax payers twice as much as proposed) Basketball courts, biking and jogging track around the park. Bike rental and lots of green. I believe there are 6 baseball fields, surrounded by 75 year old trees. Ice cream shop across is on Avenue U, near Gerritsen Ave. Tasty and not overpriced.

  Most of the park seems to have been renovated around 2013. There is a facility used as an active Senior Center of many interesting Interactive programs. There is a bicycle path that is 8 tenths of a mile and there is a walkway. Also there are basketball and handball courts baseball and Cricket fields. On the other side of the park Beyond Avenue U is an all nature path that allows you to rent canoes. Plenty of benches and also parking areas. A great Park for young old handicap accessible and everyone in between
