  Had an awesome time at the Detroiter's in Dallas annual Picnic. The bathroom were very clean. Felt very safe.

  We came with a pop up. The site was very large and easy to back into. It was also clean and partially shaded but loaded with ant beds. The major problem is that people come flying through the campsite road. One jerk nearly hit my kid! Another detractor is that the closest restroom had no hot water. The showers had those push button faucets that only flow for about 10 seconds.....which would have been doable had there been any hot water. On the last day of our stay, we found a "heated restroom", labeled #7. We didn't try the showers but just fyi if you need to clean up during your time here. We don't plan to return.

  Someone on Facebook told us about this park to go camping. We were out of state and wanted to camping in our tent in Dallas. So they told us this was a great place to go camping in our tent. We only got to stay for one night ( due to the weather and it going from 75 to 32 ). They lady at the gate was so helpful and sweet she put us by the new bathroom as close as she could.if we ever decide to go back to Texas and on the that area we will definitely stay here again. Even the campers was so nice. Very clean place. It's also so beautiful.

  Easy accessible boat ramps. Fishing is good. I haven't camped here before so not comment on that. The staff is friendly and I recommend it for a day trip will cost you $10 to get in. The playground has also been updated and my.kids enjoy it

  This park is a real gem particularly on the weekdays when the place is nearly empty and all the quiet woodland goodness comes alive. The weekenders certainly reduce its appeal but the sites are large and well appointed with paved pads, shade, covered pavilions with sturdy picnic tables, and fire rings. During the week it’s peaceful and relaxing.
