Very decent park, the police was there patrolling and making sure everyone was safe. The park is clean, well kept, lots park benches and overall just a beautiful atmosphere especially with the wonderful view of the sea. And you could go fishing too.

1.5 Mike loop with all water views. Paved walkway with slight ups and down. We'll maintained lawns. The beach is basic and clean. Some history is given throughout the park, which is nice and informative. The fort was really cool and you can get right up and into some of it. Lots of beautiful big sparkly rocks and the waters and it were very clear.

You have to be Westchester resident to be able to enjoy this park. Situated next to Orchard beach in a great setting. I've seen rowing races there. The park is next to a private club and a Marina. It has couple of playgrounds, a beach for additional fee and a great little castle that the park uses as a storage facility.

Glen Island is one of my happy places. It's a great place to walk around, clear your head and take in incredible views of the Long Island Sound. The walkways are paved, there are three different playground areas plus picnic areas with BBQs. There is a beach area open in the summer. Also, docks and boat launches. Not unusual to see jet skis, kayakers, rowers and boats of all sizes on a sunny afternoon.

Am Awesome getaway, wether you are getting out to hike, fish, walk or go biking this scenic park is beautiful. Located right next to the Long Island sound water inlet the view is relaxing. For those located north of Manhattan its their best getaway to nature they can find. In the spring and summer months however, they charge for parking. Not a cool thing since the park activities are well within and a far walk from the public streets. They should not charge for parking because they get your tax money already to pay for everything.
