::I have been coming to this park for over 30 years. The City of Hurst maintains this gem very well. The playground is safe with lots of surrounding tables, grills, and shade. Parking could be better, and you might have to walk about 50-100 yards away during peak hours. I do miss the three story metal rocket ship from my youth... The duck pond is gorgeous and stocked regularly with different types of fish. and It sports a partially shaded 1/4 mile path. The entire park has over a mile worth of paved trail with a decent change in grade. There is good shade cover for the majority, and it will take you all over the park. Bicycles are not allowed. There are a few smaller softball/youth baseball fields in the back along with an outdoor basketball court, and an additional smaller playground. Several pavilion areas for parties and get together are in a wooded spot towards the back of the park. The aquatic center is excellent and very new (last few years).

::Such a lovely and picturesque atmosphere. People were fishing in the pond, kids were flying kites, and dogs were being walked. Perfect for a fun day outdoors and a picnic. The playgrounds are shaded and there are restrooms available, as well as plenty of parking throughout. There is also an aquatic center (public pool) that looked like a lot of fun. It was not open for summer yet, but it is a very popular place! You can also call and reserve a shaded pergola for any special celebrations.

::As far as parking it gets crowded fast. Better get here early .If you are coming to the softball fields. The friendliness of the concession stand is top notch. Beautiful park and rec space.

::This is a well designed, clean, family friendly park. Plenty of wildlife to observe and fishing if you are into that. There are trails and exercise challenges along the way. A water park is available a bit northeast of the actual park and just adds to the park's amenities. I have enjoyed the park the few times I have visited. I look forward to the next time I get to have what this park is offering...which is to recapture my peace of mind:)

::Chisholm Park is a great place to take your kids. They have two massive playgrounds, a great pond for fishing, a jogging trail, and plenty of green space to have a picnic. One of the playgrounds has a shaded awning and the other is open. They have picnic tables and clean bathrooms as well. Chisholm Park is a great place to take your kids or get out in nature by yourself.
