  This is a special idea in the plan for Petco Park stadium. During daylight hours when the stadium is not in use for games or events, the park area is open and free to stroll through. It gives you the feeling of being in Petco stadium although access to the actual seats and playing field is restricted. I always walk through this park when walking around downtown as it is a very relaxing atmosphere in a dense urban area. It is a couple blocks from the trolley and only a block from the Central Library which is also a very nice place to visit, especially the view of the bay and Mexico from the eighth and ninth floors. Just visiting these two places gives you a good intro to downtown San Diego.

  I've always had a good experience at Petco Park when or lose it's always been fun but I have to admit I'm from Chicago and I'm a Cubbies fan when the Cubbies are in San Diego but when they're not I'm for the Padres
