::Welcoming staff, great food and variety. Service can be a bit slow, so speak up if you need something because they might only ask once.

::We were fairly new to the area coming from a kids track meet and saw that Palermo was close by. The place is walking distance from Astoria Park. We walked in and as the host approached us, we were immediately told that they do not allow strollers in the restaurant (we were 2 adults 2 girls and a 10 month old in a stroller). No big deal, I do understand that if the place was small a stroller could inconvenience other diners until I spotted a stroller with a family dining at a table by the entrance. When I pointed this out to the host she said they only allowed the stroller there since it was close to the door. 'Ding' red flag right there, but I decided to just roll with it because the kids were hungry. We were ushered to our table. It took a while before any server approached to take our order or offer bread or ask for drink orders. Finally when our server came we were able to place our order. She came back with the drinks and bread. She did give the 2 girls small paper cups for their apple juice and when she put the drinks down she did say 'oh your girls are bigger (my girls are 8 and 9 years old), I only gave them small cups because I though they were small.' At this point I though that she would rectify that by giving them extra drinks or correcting the cup size to the normal one they serve but this did not happen and when I ask if they are able to refill the juices they said no. Red Flag again. One of the good things about this place is the food came out fairly fast. The pizza was good for the area and the rest of our other orders were fresh tasting but taste satisfaction is not the only thing that makes for a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant in general felt a bit unwelcoming. Attention of servers vary from table to table. Overall I cannot say that we had great time in this place.

::Great for a relaxed, romantic dinner or out with the family. Palermo's staff always makes you feel at home. Good value and quality Italian, we love the brick oven pizza and the pasta bolognese

::Food was just amazing! Will definately be back for more! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I don't agree with the beer prices. Everything else is actually near perfection.

::Staff is very friendly and we love the pizza. This Italian restaurant is lovely because it’s not far from our house, the food is good and the price is reasonable. It’s not packed either so we always get our seats easily. The pasta is also good and generous. If you take the bus, it’s right in front of Q69 bus stop, so it’s easy to reach this place as well.
