::Two days after my gel manicure, chipping has already happened (see photo). I got gel so my manicure would last longer, instead it's holding up less than my regular manicure at a cheap place on Astoria. Really great atmosphere, really below average work.

::Paintbucket is really cute. My first thought was "OMG these prices are insane" but I decided to try it anyway. The technitions are so detail oriented and lovely to talk to (and I'm not much of a talker). Quality polish choices and nail art options. Paintbucket is the manicure equivalent of getting cocktails after work.

::This place is overpriced and the service provided was worse than subpar. I had a pedicure done. Waited 20 min for it to dry. Was told it was dry and okay to leave with my shoes. I then slipped on shoes and it immediately came off--polish now all over the inside of my sandals. I went back to have it redone and when I left, and stepped outside, I noticed it was sloppy and smudged, with paint also on my skin. Don't waste your time or money here. It looks nice, but the service isn't worth the $.

::I never get my nails done and wanted to treat myself. I have really wide short nails and was not sure what to expect when I booked the gel extension. They did not disappoint! Totally transformed my nails. I have been flaunting my nails since I walked out the door. Super happy. Highly recommended!

::I so want to give Paintbucket 5 stars- the salon is beautiful right down to the tiniest detail & the service I received by the lady on reception/ overseeing everything was nothing short of amazing- from the chat, to drinks & even choice of tv to watch. For me what drew the experience down was the actual nail experience itself- the lady doing my nails didn't seem to understand English at all, really struggled to communicate what she needed to with me, let alone talk! In return I really struggled to explain to her basic things like I wanted the length shorter etc. & the finish really wasn't great. Would I go back? I really really want to, but I'd ask for someone different & really hope they're much better!
