  I've been going to Pageboy since it opened. They have stylists and a barber. I choose to go to their barber. In traveling or if I needed something quick, I have gone to another place here and there and it never feels quite as good as this place. As a masculine presenting person, it's annoying that other salons in the past would charge me for a women's cut even though I get what is considered a short fade. The owner Dana has directly contacted me in the past to ask how they can make queer folks feel at ease in her salon. I'm definitely not a representative of our entire community but I gave feedback and they actually listen. I think that's amazing and sincerely appreciated that they care this much. I have friends that tell me horror stories all the time about just wanting a short hair cut and being treated in a weird manner. I always tell them to come here! I feel comfortable going here and this is always my go to place.

  Brittany is absolutely the best styles I've ever had. She is so knowledgeable and was able to get my hair exactly how I wanted it.....love her!

  I've called this place 5 times, no one ever picked up. On the recording, it says to e-mail them. Did that, they replied a couple days later and said they don't take reservations through e-mail. And I'd need an extra 'consultation' appointment to dye my hair. Um okay. Had already told them that I have short hair and just want to cover up the gray. Not trying to make a complete change. Huge waste of time, not worth it. This isn't Shadyside...

  Simply the best hair experience out of everywhere I go. I've been going here on/off for around 3 years - but think I've finally decided that this will be the only place to touch my hair again, considering how good of a job they always do. They did my hair for prom, dyed it purple, took my dark hair and lightened it beautifully. Some cons: you have to pay for parking and you have to book very far in advance to get an appointment. That said, the place is beautiful inside and they use high quality products, are very accommodating in getting you water or anything to drink, and if you're early to your appointment, there's a great coffee shop two stores down and cute boutiques. Also, it's a female owned Pittsburgh business!
