  A month back I had an emergency at my house that required a fix right away. Not having enough cash on hand in my account and not wanting to use my credit cards, I took a Brietling I never wore and an ex-wife's engagement ring to Walter Bauman Jewelers to sell. They were close by and my mother has sold unused pieces and gold to their store in the past. I thought I'd at least go by to see what I could get on such short notice. The store is upscale and at first was rather intimidating. That quickly went away when Eric approached and offered to assist me. After a thorough and very informative analysis of my pieces, I realized I wasn't ready to part with them. Eric sensed this and introduced me to Old World Capital, the collateral loan business that offers short term financing for people in situations who need money quickly and hassle free at a low interest rate. In no time Walter came out and assisted Eric with getting me set up on a short-term program. I only needed a month, not the usual 3 that they offered, and knew I'd be able to pay it back by then. The process was pain free, completely laid back, and easy. The only drawback I felt was how thorough they were at looking at the items to verify their authenticity. The detail and patience needed for such identification seemed quite time-consuming. That being said, the attention to detail convinced me that my diamond and watch were worth keeping. Thank god for the coffee too. I had been up all night with the plumber and the free coffee they offered was much needed. Thanks again Eric and Walter for the painless experience. Highly recommended!
