Friendly service. Nice decor. Great pies! Love the seafood pie without cheese. Very authentic because cheese don't go on fish outside north America.

Used to love this place! In fact, I would have claimed this was the best pizza in Prospect Heights/Crown Heights. But in the past six months or so, Ogliastro has gone down hill. The wait staff can be a bit blase, and the last two times I've been, the pizza has been soggy and lukewarm. Why? What changed?

The day I went was cold and snowy. The pizza was not my favorite; the crust and spinach were burnt more than I liked. We did get the Ogliastro salad which was delicious. Okay service and okay food.

Th only reason I’m giving it two stars was because the waitress was incredibly nice and good at her job. The food on the other hand was a disaster. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they literally had no taste. The sauce was extremely chunky and overall I would have rather skipped it. The pizza came out extremely burnt and was almost inedible. Had I not been starving I would have sent it back. Overall, everything was extremely overpriced and not worth it. I have had better pizza for a 1/4 of the price.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. The food is simply incredible. Best gluten-free pizza I've ever had, hands down. All the other food is amazing too (try the octopus appetizer if you're feeling adventurous -- it's awesome). The drinks are amazing, as well. It's quite expensive, but it feels worth it every time. Be aware that this is more Italian-style pizza rather than American/New York-style pizza. Also, I saw some bad reviews due to poor service. I must say, 1 or 2 times out of the 15 times I've been there I had service issues, but they rectified them completely and had a really nice attitude about it. Can't say I ever felt like anyone there was rude to me at all.
