  So convenient! Staff is incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and helpful! Great prices and extraordinary selection of products - they even have all these amazing products near the registers, like impulse items, but they are awesome, utilitarian impulse items unlike you've ever seen! Just overall fun atmosphere that makes buying the necessities a great experience. Great local shop in Oakland, NJ; I highly recommend stopping in, for anything you could need - paints, any kind of hardware, grills, mulch and soils for gardening, etc! Check it out! 😊

  Called ahead of time to ask for stock of a specific item... he says yes we have it. Low and behold after 20 minute drive they do not have it. Now I have to drive back 30 minutes in the other direction to home depot like I should have in the first place because the fat slob was to lazy to get up and go actually check the inventory. Pathetic

  Great hardware store. Gives you the old fashioned small town hardware store feeling but has a large and versatile selection of merchandise. I came specifically to have keys made. They were made quickly and correctly. I will definitely come back here when I need items for home. I prefer the smaller stores than the big chains like Home Depot or Lowes. At those stores you can barely get anyone's attention to help you much less help finding what you need. At this store, I was helped immediately upon entering but wasn't attacked by the staff. Great store all around.

  It's great having such a good local hardware store. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it's nice not dealing with those larger stores. I believe it's important to patronize our local businesses.

  For several years we have come to Oakland Hardware & have always found everything we needed. The cashiers are friendly & very helpful if we cannot locate something. We highly recommend them.
