::Valerie Taylor talked down to me as she assessed me over the phone she didn't like that I didn't need advice on being a mom just homeless and pregnant. Long story short she told me that she have a client who had OVER $100,000 IN SAVINGS BECAUSE I TOLD HER I didn't need help with money she goes say why are you calling then and ask I can say the same about your client who you claim to have over $100,000. Males no sense to me on why she felt the need to say that to me.

::Serving the Bay Area community for nearly 30 years, Oakland Elizabeth House has helped hundreds of families with a place to gather themselves, develop important self-sufficiently tools, and address the underlying causes related to homelessness, poverty, abuse, and/or addiction. This is a truly wonderful place that serves with the goal to break the cycles that contributed to their homelessness and give families a fresh start.

::Oakland Elizabeth House is one of only three places in Oakland providing desperately needed transitional housing to homeless women and their children. Since 1991, we have helped 160 mothers and 170 children, 80% of whom have moved into permanent housing after leaving here. While we can help only ten families at a time, for 18 months we work with our mothers and their children intensively to enable them to transition to self-sufficiency.
