::Why is there no zero star rating? This hospital thought my friend was faking her pains and screams; and when she was unconscious in a bathroom the nurses left her there unsupervised until she woke up and then kicked her/had police escort her out. No tests were done. She went to the hospital over and she was able to stay for a week and was treated for a serious kidney infection. Why was there no compassion? Why didn’t they run any tests? Be careful and don’t go here.

::You get out feeling worse when you went in and look at my arms from the “IV”... apparently this is normal! Came in for vomiting and stomach pain. They Denied me water for over 12 hours! I was severely dehydrated yet they continued to stick me with their needles. Then they admitted me for low heart rate, then wouldn’t let me eat anything but salty chicken broth, jello and ice, but made me take 8 potassium pills, which LOWERS YOUR HEART RATE! I had to literally get on the elevator in my gown to leave in order for them to give me discharge papers! This place is INHUMANE.

::I had to take my son here at 9 days old. He was seen very fast and given great care by all staff. The only concern I had was that the staff members were supposed to be wearing full garbs, gloves, and masks when they came in. This was something I didn’t realize until the end of our stay. It occurred to me that only the doctors would “suit up” before coming in but none of the nurses ever did. The nurses were the ones constantly in the room as the doctors usually just came in once a day. When I brought this up to the doctor on our last day there he said that everyone was supposed to be suiting up before coming in the room and I told him no one was except the doctors. Thankfully nothing was wrong with my son but this was still concerning to me.

::This hospital is the best! My daughter had a childhood disease and was in the pediatric ward for a week and I have nothing but praise for both the staff and doctors that took care of her needs. They were very knowledgeable and caring. The hospital is about 15 miles from our home, but we came for the better service that we knew we would receive rather than the hospital in our neighborhood. Because I had a good experience, when my husband was diagnosed with cancer, we went to Winthrop for his hospitalization and cancer treatments. They have an excellent network of doctors available and took superb care of his needs. They have everything you need in terms of health care at this facility. The emergency care was excellent. We did not wait long at all to be seen. I highly recommend this hospital and would go there again without hesitation.
