  Nestled just outside the busy hub of the city, NYMAA (New York Marital Arts Academy) at Little Neck is one of the best martial art schools available out there. The knowledge imparted is incomparable, the environment warm and friendly and the instructors extremely qualified. Out of all the schools I've trained at, NYMAA at Little Neck has an atmosphere that encourages not only seasoned practitioners of the art, but also welcomes those just starting out. Not just for those seeking to learn Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, but for anyone searching to improve themselves. Definitely a school to check out!

  My son and I started training at NYMMA in 2012 and we both love the art, philosophy, and the instructors. It is very difficult to find a school that teaches an effective combat martial art balanced with a friendly & collaborative environment. The knowledge, skills, and passion that the instructors bring everyday really make it the best school we have ever trained at. As for the art itself, it may seem simple on the surface but I am still working to perfect the skills I was taught during my first intro week at the school. The art teaches what is equivalent to black belt techniques in other arts the first day and gives you time to perfect them through out your training. It focuses on simplify, efficiency, and effectiveness and now I also take that same approach to everything else I do. The kid's class has helped my son develop a sense of discipline, focus, and dedication. The supportive environment has really elevated his confidence level, on top of that I know that he can defend himself if he needs to. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in martial arts, but know that it will take commitment and a willingness to push yourself past your comfort zone, and the instructors and other students will be there to support you!

  The New York Martial Arts Academy is a place of self discipline and respect. For those who feel small, helpless, or don't know where to turn, this is the place for it strengthens oneself in many ways. I just wish I found out about it sooner.

  I have studied many different styles of fighting and self-dense and the New York Martial Arts Academy has a program like no other. They make you feel completely welcome as soon as you walk through the door as well as mentally prep you. What they teach you is more then just about the body when it comes to training and if it weren't for them I don't think I would've ever known that.

  My grandson trains at NY Martial Arts Academy and it's amazing. He's become more focused and much stronger physically. I highly recommend it to anyone who's serious about training.
