  Very honest, kind, and knowledgeable mechanic who cares about your car and your well being over his profits. He’s worked on my car for a couple of years. He always explains in layman’s terms what’s the problem with the car is, so you understand and know what to look for in the future. He’s able to fix your car usually quickly (in the same day sometimes if you get in early) and gets the parts needed usually in a very short amount of time. My family and I trust him whole heartedly. You will too.

  Went to North Star today for the first time without an appointment for a NYS inspection and I was out of there in less than a 1/2 hour! Staff was friendly & efficient and the waiting area was welcoming with free fresh coffee and TV. I would definitely recommend them.

  Well respected mechanic in the area. Have nothing bout good things to say about this place. Very fair and reasonable. Note that he had been on Congers Lake road previously and is thus not new to the area.

  Went for an inspection, engine light and multiple other lights were on the display, which I knew the reason...The guy tells me the inspection will fail, he resets the computer, and says I need to travel 40-50 miles to cycle through, because the inspection will fail. I was ok with that. But told him the reason the check engine was on, but he kept telling me it was the catalytic converter and it will cost thousands of dollars to fix. Now I'm pissed off. Subsequently, I go to Mavis in West Nyack to get my inspection done, and low and behold, it passes. I told the guy who did it, what had happened yesterday, and he laughed. Said everything was fine with the inspection. So the guy at Northstar is a crook and is looking for business, just off of an inspection. I'll never use him again. '
