  Food is decent. Vibe is cool for Lowry. Service is lame. Not all. Bartenders were great. Zeke and middle aged wannabe hipster manager were lame. Problem with Lowry is that it has a captive and somewhat unsophisticated audience given isolated location and about 15 below average restaurants to choose from so almost like a tourist trap where service can be terrible with little consequence. That’s North County. Drinks are good through. Food fine for what it is. Just don’t have I’m Too Cool Zeke wait on you. Or “hipster” manager who is clearly burned out with the restaurant biz. Unappreciative and inattentive the two of them. And they still expect a 20-25% tip which is what I normally tip. Not this time regrettably. Earn your tip as I did when I waited tables.

  My friends and I have been coming here every Tuesday for well over a year. It’s partly to stay connected but also because of the great food and deals. The servers are also very attentive but not pushy. It can get a little busy in the summer but still worth it!

  My wife and I brought some friends out last night and the food was great but, the service was Awesome!!! JEFF was our server and he totally made the evening. Jeff was the BEST Server I have ever had, ever! What ever you guys are doing you’re doing right. Keep Jeff around forever! Promote him! We’ll be back soon! Love, Lowry Customer. C

  The first time I showed up here it was closed for spring cleaning. That says a lot about the proprietor, that they would lose a days revenue in order to ensure they have a clean safe restaurant. The second time it was busy, but I had great service and the best fried oyster Po'Boy I've had outside NOLA. This is a San Diego restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant as I see Google marked it.

  This place is great! My group tried 4 different appetizers, and each one was very fresh and tasty. Our only problem was that with all of the appetizers we only had room for one taco a piece. Everyone commented how they could not wait to come back with an empty stomach and try other tacos. I had the fried fish taco, and it was near perfect with fresh vegetables and soft, not over fried batter.
