  So I stumbled across this gem as I was just wandering the city. I walked in about 11am as they were opening for lunch and asked to see a menu. In 30 seconds of scanning, I found everything I wanted to try so I made an 8:15pm dinner reservation on the spot. MAN!!!!! I didn't know how good it would be!! We started with the fried Alligator (which surprisingly tastes like a mix of Chicken and Calamari LOL), after enjoying the Alligator we ordered the Seafood Jambalaya and the Grilled Catfish as Entrees. This wasn't the typical quick cook restaurant. I have asked at HUNDREDS of restaurants in my life if the sausages can be removed from the Jambalaya, often told 'no'. Not at Nola, they said "sure". Which tells me that these aren't pre prepped ingredients. The food was AMAZING. The live jazz is a beautiful touch. I can not tell you a single bad thing about this experience. NY Cheesecake was the dessert and being so close to NY I have to say it was less than a NY slice but very good none the less! Book this restaurant as soon as you book your trip to Pittsburgh!!!

  They have a smaller menu (at least for Sunday brunch) than I expected but which I actually really appreciated. Staff was great and the food was awesome. We will definitely be back for an evening out to check out other items on the menu and enjoy the atmosphere!

  Really great lunches!! The service was excellent and our meals were delicious. Their fries were hot and crispy, the burgers were freshly made and the soup was hot.

  Rodrick was an exceptional waiter. He waited on my girlfriend and I the other night and he was fun and knowledgeable. He was always available when we needed him and he had great recommendations. The food was fantastic! Seriously so good. The live music was great and I appreciated that you could sit in the dining room and still have a conversation but still hear the fantastic band from the bar at a decent level. That is not something you often see in a restaurant that has live music. Just an unforgettable experience. The staff here seriously know what they are doing. Especially Rodrick. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.
