::Hidden somewhere in the Neighborhood restaurant rests Noble Experiment. A date and I happened to be having dinner when I asked about how to get in and grab a table. Once everything was explained, we made our way to a small, dimly lit room with a hostess. We had no reservation but she was able to seat us quickly. True to old speak easy style, it's a dimly lit, close encounter bar with barely enough room for 30 people. The decor is new age meets Renaissance with a sprinkle of dark ages. The drinks were fantastic, coming from a small menu or bartenders choice. Highly suggest a reservation, but well worth it for the experience.

::A speakeasy in San Diego- the intrigue speaks for itself. Not only are they user friendly with their text reservation and confirmation system, but they are attached to Neighborhood, which is a delicious prelude to this treat of a bar! Pros: Their drinks are strong, but still flavorful. Yes, even the straight-up ones. Even for those who aren't sure of what to choose, NE had a great attitude about helping me choose a Brandy Alexander (creamy, chocolatey, and strong to the touch. my perfect combo!) all because I simply said I had a chocolate craving! Cons: This place is so popular, you'll have to book well in advance. If that's your biggest con though, you're going to be fine. Also, this place doesn't do well to accommodate bigger crowds, which, as an SD local, is a feature and not a bug :) This is an excellent place for out-of-town friends who you want to impress, or a date-night. Hey, I met my fiance here!

::The Noble Experiment is an experience I think everyone should have. The hidden entrance and limited capacity do a great job of setting the mood. Our bartender answered every question I had with expert knowledge going above and beyond with his answers and the drinks were some of the best I've ever had. The prices were pretty high, but when you're in the prohibition that has to be expected.

::This place is pretty cool! AMAZING drinks especially for Whiskey aficionados! The restaurant it is attached to is also really goo so I would recommend making a reservation for Noble Experiment for after your dinner at The Neighborhood. Both have a cool laid back, relaxing vibe. The only thing about this place is that it is pretty small. This does make it intimate but it's not the best if you have a group any bigger than 5.
