  Thank you Jess for being so attentive to detail. The cake was exactly what we had wanted - You guys truly captured every last detail. It taste amazing too :).

  Nine Cakes only cares about money and not about their customers. They adhere to their small print to a point that is hurtful. Due to a pet dying in my arms at home the morning of their cake class, I could not come in. I asked for no refund, to simply be allowed to come to the next class and to please charge me for the small 6" cake that would have been decorated. I literally begged for an exception due to the sad and extenuating circumstances. They refused, and offered their 50% refund that was in their small print, no other possibility, end of conversation. Good luck to you. Their unwavering stance on their policy, and their condescending and jovial tone in their follow-up emails, when talking about a traumatic experience and my unhappiness felt callous. It felt like form letters after that point. Betsy and Jess simply cares about money at the end of the day, not about their customers. And that love of, and #1 status of, money makes them cold. I do not want to have these people help celebrate joyful events, and I don’t want to learn from them anymore either. I truly have lost all respect for them after being a fan for quite a long time. I am getting married in earlier 2019 and was excited to meet the team that I was planning to have make our wedding cake, but that will not happen now. If you happen to place an order, or have tickets to an event, and you break your leg, get into a car accident, or your mom dies, don't expect Nine Cakes to care about anything other than their money.

  Betsy made three cakes for our wedding a few years back. We could not have been more pleased. At the tasting we gave her description of what we hope for based really off no reference points (photos, her cakes, etc..). She managed to produce exactly what we asked for. Being amateur bakers ourselves we can be picky but were blown away by the quality of the cake. Nearly every person raved about the wonderful taste. This was not just great wedding cake ... It was great cake period. It is one of few experiences I have have truly nothing negative to say about. We were thrilled from start to finish. Can not recommend Betsy and Nine cakes enough.

  Found her after days of research to have my daughter's first birthday cake. The owner was very attentive to my details and even gave me her suggestions on which color coordination was best for the theme that I was having. The cake came out beautiful and elegant. I was so focused on how the cake look that I wasn't thinking much or expecting much on the flavor. But let me tell you, I was very surprised. My cake not only looked good but tasted hella good too. I had their season flavor and it was on point. Not over sweet which was perfect for me so I can have slice after slice without feeling sick. Definitely will go back to her for any future custom cakes I need. :)

  Absolutely the best cake you'll ever eat in your life, and Betsy is the sweetest person ever… She is very talented and can make the most delicious and beautiful cakes and cupcakes!!! We travel here all the time from California just for Nine Cakes! Order several so that you have extra when you go home. Also I've never had such amazing buttercream frosting before!
