::Everyday they have multiple machines “down for maintenance” yet theyll be down for weeks. Today, 4 of the 5 stair masters, about 4 of 10 treadmill all “down for maintenance”. With retro down the block and half the price (with all relatively new equipment) im thinking of givingn them a shot. The parking lot is terribly designed btw

::BEWARE! Since I had first joined, this gym has gone downhill. Machines, when broken, aren’t fixed and receive a sign indicating that they cannot be used for months (as a previous review has stated). Equipment is outdated. More insidiously, though, is the unscrupulous way that this gym bills its customers (again, as previous reviews will tell you). When I had first joined, the price was under 20$ a month, and you were able to bring a guest for free. After a few months, they did away with the free guest service. A few months after that, they increased the monthly fee (by about 2$). However, about a year later, the price of the membership jumped approximately 50% to around 30$, with no warning at all; no sign, email, nothing. The manager claims emails were sent to inform customers, but not one of my friends who attended (past tense) this gym had received any such email and the manager was unwilling to show substantive proof. And after cancelling my membership because of this, I was hit with a $45 cancellation charge. I’m not saying anything that previous reviews have not touched upon, but confirming that this gym treats its customers incredibly poorly. There are many gyms in close proximity that are far better options in every respect.

::Current update 3/18/18: I'm changing my previous two star review to a one star due to the fact that 40% of machines and equipment at this location is out of order and all they do is just put out of order signs. It's been going on for weeks and it just gets worse every day. I used to be a great place when I started but went downhill from there. I've been a member for several years and so far 3 personal trainers disappeared without any notice to clients from the management or trainers. I don't like how all my previous trainers disappeared without notifying the clients and I find this practice to be very frustrating and not supporting my workout goals since every trainer has a different approach and suggestions. Customer service at this location has a lot of room for improvement. Managers keep changing too and, so far, Floyd had been the most effective one who remembered most of the clients by name and personally made sure that they get the best experience possible.

::The staff & management are very nice, but the majority of people that go to this gym are very rude & don't make attempts to help keep this place clean. Kenny & Margaret have awesome classes so that's the only time I go, but the clients need some classes in manners.

::This gym tried to steal from me. I asked when signing up to have the membership expire at a certain date, and they told me it would. Then, before that date, I was sure to remind them to cancel it. Nevertheless, they kept charging me after the cancellation date and REFUSED to cancel the membership even though I was out of state at college. It really puzzles me that they had the nerve to tell me, the customer, that they would keep charging their credit card for their membership when I was literally out of state and could not visit the gym, much less come in person to cancel the membership. It got to the point where I had to call my credit card company and tell them not to let NYSC put charges through. What they did amounts to an attempt at theft, especially since they gave me assurances that they would cancel the membership at an agreed date.
