  I have been donating at this center & this center only for the better part of 10 years I try my best to donate a double unit of platelets + a unit of plasma as often as possible which is over a 2 hour+ procedure! Giving blood is 15-20 min & your done! and I have NEVER had anything but a absolute pleasant experience never had a problem with the needle stick always perfect & painless every time and if you have ever donated platelets its NOT A SMALL NEEDLE ITS ABOUT 5 TIMES THE SIZE OF A NEEDLE WHEN YOU GIVE BLOOD! the staff is so courteous & seem so grateful for my platelets that if I was allowed to go everyday I would!!! I'm reading these negative posts & cannot even begin to imagine what they are referring to I'm going Tom am for what I believe is gona be my 50th!! Platelet donation and NOT ONCE DID I EVER LEAVE THERE FEELING LIKE I WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD!!! So if your considering donating please ignore the negative posts I assure you it will be a great experience! Happy donating and GOD BLESS everybody who does it is truely one of the greatest things you can do! Who can't spare a hour or two to possibly save a life or 2?? I'm a busy guy have my own company plus a full time job and 3 kids & I make it my business to get there once a month! And I wish I could do more!! SO PLEASE DONATE IF YOUR ABLE TO! GOD BLESS ERIK N

  Horriable experince here waited almost 4 hours to be seen staff was unpleasnt and rude avoid this place they don't treat anyone like humans

  I have been coming to the Melville location for over 5 years, about every 120 days for the Alyx machine, and I have never experienced anything but professional, courteous, friendly, helpful and kind people working there. The bad reviews are the work of miserable people who would not be happy with a lamb under one arm and a loaf of bread under the other. Teresa was especially wonderful today. See you in 120.
