  Yuck!! Let's take another trip in my past as a teenager.Me and my friends at lunchtime would leave our junior high school which coincidentally is right up the block. There was a Carribean bakery here that sold the best home made Beef Patties in all of Queens. The beef patties were fresh, & it was best if you ordered the patty with a Coco bun.When the bread was hot and fresh it melted in your mouth.They weren't that processed crap that "Tower Isle" company sells frozen to every damn super market & commercial business around nowadays. If anybody was smart they would find that family that use to run that bakery and come back to this location and run the Chinese restaurant now here out of business. their food is horrible & they do a disservice to the community. Boycott my people that's how you get rid of businesses that ruin a community.

  When I was younger, I LOVED getting floor seats at shows. Standing shoulder to shoulder with people who shared the same love of a band/singer that I had. When a certain song started playing, you moved together and became one. Crowd goes left, you go left. They jump, you jump. They sweat, you sweat. As i got older, I got over it*. Can I just go to a show, sit and enjoy the music while having a drink? City Winery is making that possible. Its a small enough venue that no matter where you sit, you'll have an excellent view of the stage. Thanks to the hosts/concierge my friends and I lucked out and got a table in the back of the VIP area. The view was good but our neighbors were a bunch of loudass douchebags who would not a) be quiet, b) not stop using bbm ,c) SHUT THE F UP . Sigh, can't win em all. The service was slow. The food wasn't that great, the mushroom flatbread was way too salty. The wine wasn't bad, we got a bottle off of the "adventurous list". We originally wanted a bottle from Chile but they were out of it so we settled for a bottle of chilled red from Austria (it was Austria wasn't it?). So basically, its a good space. But other than that, its pretty average. Oh and if you have to go to the bathroom during the show, they stream audio into the bathrooms. Thank goodness for that because if not I would have missed one of my favorite songs. *There are exceptions to this.
