  Beautiful outdoor Sculpture Garden and Trellis (see photos). Walking trails and the Museum itself is located just off Northern Blvd. in Roslyn, housed in the Frick Estate (Mansion). Ever-changing exhibits keep the museum fresh and fun. They host Family weekend events and best of all, even if you don't go to the Museum (inside), the park and gardens are free to roam outside. Walk by the pond, you'll see a family of turtles and ducks swimming by. There are gaggles of geese walking around on the property grounds - they are wild so be careful not to get too close. Lots of greenery, pretty cherry blossoms and Magnolia trees - great photo ops! Inexpensive and a great place to visit for all ages.

  Came for the jazz age exhibit while visiting. There were some interesting pieces hidden amongst, frankly, some very bad examples. I don't know if this is normal but the entire time I was being interrogated by an obnoxious gaggle of old ladies. "I'm trying to help you" great. Lovely. You're all deaf and I'm getting sick of statements with no context being directed at me. Shut up, back off and let the pieces speak for themselves.

  This is one of my favorite places to visit. I've come here throughout the past five years or so. It's a small place and they change the exhibitions after a few months. It has a lot of green space, which is nice to walk around or to do a plein air study. Some of my pieces have been inspired by the land since it's been nice and accessible for me. I've brought my family and friends as well. *the autom pictures bellow are oil paintings by myself, which came out from plein air studies and photos at that spot at the museum.

  I love the Nassau County Museum but they dropped the advanced adult art classes and replaced it with little rinky-dink classes mostly for children. The prices are high and is not on the same level. When you go to the museum they have a lot of volunteers will absolutely fantastic and lovely. On this occasion they gave me a very hard time to use my membership to come into the museum. They even accidentally locked my membership card in the draw and I had to pick it up when I was leaving the show. The docent was excellent the exhibit was minor

  This is museum such a great asset to Nassau County. The mansion and property bring you back to the Great Gatsby era. The sculptures on the grounds are an exhibit in themselves Some of the original beauty in the estate still exists in the fireplaces with carved marble mantels, and swirling staircase up to the second and third levels. The dosiets are very helpful and the tours are free. Wonderful exhibits year round, and great permanent Tiffany artwork in the upstairs rooms. Love visiting this gem for each new exhibit.
