  I visited the clerk's office today to renew a notary license and was helped by a wonderful lady named Andrea Strum (I believe the last name is correct) who could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Thank you Andrea for your basic kindness - you changed my entire outlook on the day.

  A few years ago, i discovered that a lawyer I retained, had illegally billed nassau county for $4400!!. Misrepresenting himself as an 18b court appointed attorney. However, crooked cheryl Maxx refused to aid the investigation.

  Nassau county clerks office is only good if you need to get land information. If you need to do any filings or recordings be prepared. They charge an arm and a leg for everything. It makes living in Nassau county difficult if you plan to do any construction to your home. My suggestion is to buy a house that you plan to never do work to because the fees you pay will be in some cases more money than the renovation.
