::Many of my relatives are interred at Calverton National Cemetery. I must be honest & say that I am disappointed in this cemetery. The cemetery posts floral take down dates at the entrance. I visit all my relatives at least once a week, and find my flowers removed off schedule as well as find other flowers in the same section left up for over a month while mine are removed. I do not feel it is right for this cemetery to decriminate as to whos flowers can stay at the grave and which they discard. This has been on going for quite some time & I am getting increasingly fustrated with it, considering I also visit Long Island Natioal Cemetery and I do not have this issue. I believe that the cemetery should either take down everyones flowers when they post that they are going to, or leave everyones flowers up, not pick & choose which ones to remove or leave up. I am considering filing a discrimination complaint with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs regarding this issue which I consider dis pectful to these veterans. UPDATE 12/17/17 This unprofessional, disrespectful, discriminatory behavior is pathetic & sad. How can a National Cemetery disrespect the constitution of the United States of America? I placed Christmas flowers on my parents grave on Sunday 12/10 only to find my flowers taken down & discarded. A grave near my parents had their Christmas decorations tore down & thrown on the ground. Other graves have had decorations on them for weeks & they are still there. I have photos with dates documenting this travisty. I am appauled by this behavior. This cemetery is horrible. National Cemeteries throughout our great country have wreaths placed at every grave in honor of the service these individuals gave to their country. I arrived at the cemetery today to find that Calverton does not have them. They have chosen not to honor these veterans. Many may not care, I on the other hand expect this cemetery to be fair & to honor these veterans which is not currently happening under the individual who is in charge. You should be ashamed of yourself!

::A most serene respectful feeling as you enter those gates. My Dad rests in peace and pride at Calverton National cemetery. I know I did the right thing for my Dad. Now Mom has joined him and they are peaceful together. Upkeep is wonderful.
