  One of the nicest and friendliest cafes in Manhattan. Great goid, quality I gradients and caring people make you want to come back again and again .

  Good food. Love the coffee . Wonderful staff and service. Wonderful local place to meet and share coffee, muffins, salads and sandwiches. Outside bench extra plus. Better than any place around the neighborhood. Upper West Side gem. Favorites are cherry and berry muffin and ham and cheese on grain bread.

  One of the few remaining mom & pop shops on Columbus Avenue. Muffins is a breath of fresh air where the owners, their family, and their staff treat you like a person rather than a widget on an assembly line. Great coffee and sandwiches, great service...and a great place to start your day feeling like a human!

  I changed my 3 stars to 4, seeing other people's reviews. I didn't want to be unfair. Maybe I should have gotten a cranberry muffin. But I had a jones for a banana muffin and had great memories of one I got at Melissa's bakery several weeks before. Melissa's didn't have them but Muffins Cafe did. I bought 4. My mistake. The one I ate was so-so: dryish, not as flavorful as I'd have wanted. Sigh. I was hoping for so much better.

  We have lived in the neighborhood for eight years and this is an absolute neighborhood gem. Not only are the owner and workers just lovely, but the muffins and all their baked goods are FANTASTIC! Fresh and made daily. The cranberry orange muffins in particular, are my son's favorite. The coffee is also MUCH better than Joe's coffee a few blocks away. Wonderful place.
