::Expensive, small'ish, very low number of checkout line s. Great for organic and gluten free.

::A good selection of āorganicā and local produce - I shop here quite a bit for the things I canāt find at the farmers market. The pricing is a little high or as another reviewer stated: āinflatedā, but only by a little. Areas to improve, in my opinion, are the packaged meats section (I have had to return more than a few packages of rotten meat that looked ok on the outside) and the beer selection (deccicos has a grandiose, heavenly isle dedicated to all different craft/local beers). 4 stars - slightly inflated pricing on some kinds of foods and very little bulk options, bad experiences with packaged meat, lack of interesting bubbly (they do have good beers, though).

::Mrs Greens is the largest and best health foods store accessible from Northern Westchester and Putnam that isn't owned by Amazon. Except maybe Trader Joe. Selection is good when they are not out of stock on the items you need, which happens all too often. After you check out, check your register tape for errors.

::I shop at Green's Natural Foods for certain items because l'm a vegetarian. However, their prices are very inflated. ( l now can get many of their products at the organic section of my local supermarkets for fairer prices). I shop at Green's deli for fresh, prepared food, but the deli's food is inconsistent. If you want a certain item that you liked in the past, there is no guarantee that you'll get it again. The vitamin dept is very good and staff there are knowledgeable. In general, staff are friendly + helpful. I've been a customer of Greens for 20yrs, have seen the store go thru many changes, not necessarily for the better. At present, prices are the highest yet and sales are no bargains. Perhaps when Whole Foods arrives in the area, Green's will be forced to compete.

::This store has absolutely amazing produce. I truly can't say enough about it's quality. They also offer a wide selection of great frozen options, though with less specialized goods (non-organic products) you'd do well to shop around as they can be found elsewhere. That being said, their pricing on organic goods are very competitive, and the neighborhood grocer feel of the establishment is welcoming.
