::Nice modern styled hotel with a great selection of amenities and lots of cool dining spots nearby. Check-in was quick and easy and you get a free drink at the bar next to the check in area! I had a queen room and it was on the smaller side but that was actually what I was looking for as I was only staying one night. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable and the shower has a detachable sprayer as well as a large overhead sprayer. Basic breakfast items are available in the morning; bagels, premade breakfast sandwiches/danishes, coffee and such. There's a parking garage at the corner of the block by the entrance if you need parking, though it can be a bit pricey for overnight stays.

::Recently stayed at the Moxy for two nights. Aside from the peak 2011 tumblr aesthetic, it’s pretty good. Staff was nice, beds were super comfortable, nice bathrooms! Overall a nice hotel, but comes with a couple notes: - it’s LOUD LOUD on weekends. There are two very popular and loud bars/clubs in the building, and it’s a main going out area. - no mobile keys - lighting in the rooms is bad

::TLDR: Paper thins wall make it hard to sleep with enthused late night sideways mambo dancers. If deciding to book this Moxy, you should ask yourself one question: Do I like getting sleep on my trip? If the answer to that question is “yes,” then DO NOT book this hotel. Because of its great location in Short North and a bar on the roof, the Moxy attracts a party crowd. If you’re traveling for work or with a family, definitely avoid it. Why I’m qualified to write this review? I have an architecture degree, I build hotels and apartments for a living, I travel for work, and I’ve stayed here multiple times. The Moxy looks sleek and modern. It has a fun atmosphere and nice finishes. The staff has been nice and the check-in at the bar is cool. But the walls are just paper thin. You can hear everything that your neighbor is saying, what they are listening to on the TV, their music, and when they are having an especially romantic night at 2:00am. My most recent neighbors must have been a father and daughter traveling, because I heard a lot of “Oh Daddy,” “Give it to me,” “Yes, like that,” and other various requests for things being harder and/ or slower. Definitely pack some ear plugs, or sit back and enjoy the show and listen to today’s modern love songs featuring the likes of Drake, Young Thug, and Khalid with the added benefit of avoiding that always awkward explanation of your Pay Per View bill at checkout. If coming to Short North, I would definitely recommend going to stay at the Graduate nearby (cheaper) or The Joseph (luxury and more expensive).

::The best I can say is it looks cool and the bed was comfy. This is way overpriced though. There were fights in the lobby on the weekends. Walls are really thin to the point I could hear a normal volume convo of my neighbors. For the price I’m surprised there isn’t a fridge or microwave. E lavatory are slow and annoying to use. Honestly stay somewhere else. This isn’t worth it.

::It’s super cute and the rooms are unique, however it’s just ok. They definitely cater more to the guests of the bars than they do the hotel. Water out of the sink is cloudy and warm. Just not a typical or standard hotel. No 24 hour front desk service. It’s a cheaper option than other hotels. Would have rather paid an extra 100 and gone somewhere else.
